These evening sessions are Mandatory for all Clergy, Deacons, and Volunteer Group Leaders who have regular or direct contact with Children and Young People.

COURSE CONTENT

  • The expected standards of performance in Safeguarding Children within the Catholic Church in Ireland.
  • Creating a common understanding of "How to safeguard children and develop best practice arrangements across all aspects of work and contact with Children and Young People.
  • Recognising, responding and procedures for reporting a concern in relation to a Child or Young Person.
  • Working safely with children and Young People.
  • The 7 National Standards for Safeguarding Children in the Catholic Church in Ireland.
  • ACE's awareness.

COURSE LOCATION/TIME AND DURATION

This session is session two of two which isĀ  taking place in St John's parish centre, Falls Rd, Belfast and starts at 7:00pm

    This session is one of two which is taking place Virtually via Zoom.

    Both sessions will start promptly at 6:30pm. If you are not in the waiting room by this time, you will not be admitted to the session.

    Both sessions must be attended in order to complete the training.

    HOUSEKEEPING

    Please choose a quiet room to sit in, whilst on the virtual session.

    Please ensure that your camera remains on at all times.

    If for some reason, you are no longer able to attend the session, please let the Safeguarding Office know as soon as possible so that your space can be allocated to someone else.
