Level 1 Child Safeguarding Information Session
This session is for:
- Anyone who is assisting with any groups of children/young people who are under the age of 18 years.
- Members of Parish Safeguarding Committees
- All Church Personnel/Volunteers who need a basic awareness of Safeguarding
*This training must be refreshed every 3 years*
Level 2 Child Safeguarding Training
This required training for:
- All Clergy and Religious, who are in active ministry with children/young people
- Parish Safeguarding Committee Chair Leader/Deputy Leaders of any parish group with children/young people under 18 years in attendance
- Choir leaders of choirs with children/young people under 18 years in attendance
- Sacristans if their role involves supervision of children/young people under the age of 18 years
- Safeguarding Support Officers
- Members of the Diocesan Safeguarding Committee
- Advisory Panel Members
- Diocesan Support Person
*This training must be refreshed every 3 years*
Level 2 Refresher Training
These sessions are shorter in length (approx 3 hrs) and are for those who have already attended the full day Level 2 training previously.
The session aims are to:
- Provide an opportunity to reflect on some of the challenges you are facing in safeguarding today and encourage a culture of safeguarding within our Church.
- To refresh your knowledge in relation to recognising, responding and reporting.
Young Leaders
This session is for:
This session is 3 hours in length and covers the same content as the information sessions but has been designed for young people who are taking on a leadership role with other children or young people
