Child Level 2 Child Safeguarding Refresher Training – Virtual Session – 6:30pm

WHO SHOULD ATTEND THIS SESSION

This training is for Clergy, Deacons, and Volunteer Group Leaders who have already completed the full day/2 evening sessions of the Child Level 2 Safeguarding training 3 years or more ago and needs a refresher session.

CONTENT

  • The expected standards of performance in Safeguarding Children within the Catholic Church in Ireland.
  • Creating a common understanding of how to safeguard children and develop best practice arrangements across all aspects of work and contact with Children and Young People.
  • Recognising, responding and procedures for reporting a concern in relation to a Child or Young Person.
  • Working safely with Children and Young People.
  • The 7 National Standards for Safeguarding Children in the Catholic Church in Ireland.
  • ACE’s awareness.

SESSION TIMES/LOCATIONS

This session is taking place Virtually via Zoom.

It will start promptly at 6:30pm. If you are not in the waiting room by this time, you will not be admitted to the session.

This  virtual session will last no longer than 3 hours.

Child Level 2 Child Safeguarding Refresher Training – St Johns Parish Hall, Belfast

WHO SHOULD ATTEND THIS SESSION

Refresher sessions: These are shorter in length (three hours) and are for those who have already attended the full day training Level 2 training previously.

COURSE CONTENT

The session aims are to:

  • Provide an opportunity to reflect on some of the challenges you are facing in safeguarding today and encourage a culture of safeguarding within our Church
  • Refresh your knowledge in relation to recognising, responding and reporting

LOCATION/PLATFORM

The location is St Johns Parish Hall, 444 Falls Road, Belfast Bt12 6EN

This session  is an evening session which starts at 7:00pm and will last no longer than 3 hours.
