SBNI Speak Out Leaflet
SBNI “Speak Out” Leaflet -A Short Guide for parents and carers in Faith based settings
In June 2018, the Interfaith Group of the SBNI (Safeguarding Board for Northern Ireland) launched the leaflet “Speak Out”. The leaflet was designed to help convey a standardised message across the faith sector to remind parents, carers, staff and Volunteers about speaking out, if they have a concern about a child’s wellbeing and welfare.
Knowing “who” to contact or “what” happens next are clear messages contained in the leaflet.
Keeping children and young people safe from harm should be foremost in all our minds.
Speak out if you are worried.
The interfaith Group of SBNI is Co-Chaired by Barbara McDermott, the Director of Safeguarding for Down and Connor.
