WHO SHOULD ATTEND THIS COURSE

This full day session is Mandatory for all Clergy and Group Leaders who have regular or direct contact with Children and Young People.

COURSE CONTENT

  • The expected standards of performance in Safeguarding Children within the Catholic Church in Ireland.
  • Creating a common understanding of "How to safeguard children and develop best practice arrangements across all aspects of work and contact with Children and Young People.
  • Recognising, responding and procedures for reporting a concern in relation to a Child or Young Person.
  • Working safely with children and Young People.
  • The 7 National Standards for Safeguarding Children in the Catholic Church in Ireland.
  • ACE's awareness.

COURSE  LOCATION/LENGTH AND TIME

The training will take place in All Saints, Ballymena and will start promptly at 10:00am and finish at approximately 04:00pm. Light refreshments will be served during the day.
