These virtual evening sessions are Mandatory for all Clergy and Group and Deputy Group Leaders who have regular or direct contact with Children and Young People.

COURSE CONTENT

  • The expected standards of performance in Safeguarding Children within the Catholic Church in Ireland.
  • Creating a common understanding of "How to safeguard children and develop best practice arrangements across all aspects of work and contact with Children and Young People.
  • Recognising, responding and procedures for reporting a concern in relation to a Child or Young Person.
  • Working safely with children and Young People.
  • The 7 National Standards for Safeguarding Children in the Catholic Church in Ireland.
  • ACE's awareness.

PLEASE NOTE - You must attend both sessions in order to complete the course. Certificates will be awarded at the end of the second session.

    WHO SHOULD ATTEND THIS SESSION

    These sessions are Mandatory for all Clergy, Deacons, and Volunteer Group Leaders who have regular or direct contact with Children and Young People.

    The session is taking place face to face in All Saints Parish Centre, Ballymena, 9 Cushendall Road, Ballymena, BT43 6HHA

    The session is a full day starting at 10am and finishing up at approx 3:30pm.

    A light lunch will be provided.
