This training is for anyone who has already completed the full day/2 evening sessions of the Child Level 2 Safeguarding training 3 years or more ago and needs a refresher session.
The course content includes;
- Legal context of Safeguarding Children
- What is meant by Child Abuse and types of abuse
- Signs and Indicators
- Responding and Reporting and who to report to
- Codes of Conduct for staff/volunteers working with children
- ACE’s awareness
This session starts at 7:00pm & the duration is approximately 3 hours

The session is taking place face to face in St John’s Parish Hall, Falls Road, Belfast
The session is a full day starting at 10am and finishing up at approx 3:30pm.
A light lunch will be provided.
COURSE CONTENT
- The expected standards of performance in Safeguarding Children within the Catholic Church in Ireland.
- Creating a common understanding of “How to safeguard children and develop best practice arrangements across all aspects of work and contact with Children and Young People.
- Recognising, responding and procedures for reporting a concern in relation to a Child or Young Person.
- Working safely with children and Young People.
- The 7 National Standards for Safeguarding Children in the Catholic Church in Ireland.
- ACE’s awareness.
