These sessions are Mandatory for all Clergy, Deacons, and Volunteer Group Leaders who have regular or direct contact with Children and Young People.

The session is taking place face to face in the Parish of Maghera, Newcastle.

The session is a full day starting at 10am and finishing up at approx 3:30pm.

A light lunch will be provided.

COURSE CONTENT

• The expected standards of performance in Safeguarding Children within the Catholic Church in Ireland.
• Creating a common understanding of “How to safeguard children and develop best practice arrangements across all aspects of work and contact with Children and Young People.
• Recognising, responding and procedures for reporting a concern in relation to a Child or Young Person.
• Working safely with children and Young People.
• The 7 National Standards for Safeguarding Children in the Catholic Church in Ireland.
• ACE’s awareness.

This training is for Clergy, leaders/deputies who have previously undertaken Level 2 Child Safeguarding Training 3 years or more ago and needs a refresher session.

The session will be delivered face to face at 120 Cliftonville Road, Belfast, BT14 6LA

The session will start at 10am and should last no longer than 3 hours.
